Max for Live's integrated documentation appears...
Perhaps this has been around for a while, but I just noticed it in Max 40856.
Plenty of detailed information about how Max for Live works, including a description of the authentication machinery, and how Max for Live (as launched from Live) differs from a fully licensed MaxMSP.
